Day 1: Arrival in Paro
On arriving at the Paro Valley, you will be received by the representative of Gawaling Tours & Treks and assist you to your hotel. In the afternoon you can visit the National Museum/Ta Dzong(watchtower) and Kyichu Lhakhang(oldest monastery).In the evening take an excursion to Paro town and meet the local people. Night halt at Hotel.
Paro Valley extends from the confluence of the Paro Chhu and the Wang Chhu rivers at Chuzom up to Mt. Jomolhari at the Tibetan border to the North. This picturesque region is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley. There are over 155 temples and monasteries in the area, some dating as far back as the 14th century.
Day 2: Paro to Thimphu
After breakfast drive towards Dochula Pass/ridge(3050m) and then to Thimphu, the small and charming capital city of Bhutan. On arriving at the Thimphu Valley visit the School of Arts and Crafts(also known as the painting school), Handmade paper factory, Memorial Chorten(built in memory of the third King of Bhutan), Changangkha Lhakhang, and Trahsichho Dzong. Night halt at hotel.
Day 3: Thimphu to Paro
After breakfast visit some of the places in Thimphu like the National Library, Handicraft Emporium, and VAST ( voluntary artist studio, Thimphu). After lunch drive to Paro, on arriving at Paro Valley visit Dungtse Lahakhang, Rimpung Dzong, and Drugyel Dzong. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast drive to the airport for departure.
